Spring Cleansing Smoothie

This is an excellent smoothie for cleansing and refreshing the digestive system. Choose to have it for breakfast, or a midday meal.

 2 cups nut milk or coconut milk (or water)
 1 banana
 1 cup frozen berries
 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
 ½ cup kale
 ½ cup dandelion greens
 Juice squeezed from ½ lemon
 1 scoop of plant-based protein powder

You may add nuts like almonds and walnuts to the smoothie as well.

Place all ingredients in a blender, blend for 1 minute, enjoy!!


  • Adding protein to your smoothies helps you feel fuller longer and helps with balancing out blood sugar as it assists in the slower release of the natural sugars from the fruit in your smoothie.
  • Dark leafy greens, dark berries, and lemon all play a big role in helping with the livers detoxing pathways as they are rich in antioxidants.
  • Ground Flax seeds are rich source of Omega 3 fatty acids, fibre, protein, magnesium and phytoestrogens (which help balance hormones).

Combining these ingredients gives you a powerful, satiating, and cleansing smoothie.
